Myself, David Massey and Francisco Correa are so excited to be bringing our Creating Carmen show to Peebles, booked and supported by Music in Peebles! We are hoping to string more dates together and turn this into a proper tour in South and Central Scotland, so watch this space...
Creating Carmen is more than a concert. It occupies the borders between a play and a concert. It is a fully staged show for three musicians and two actors. The central character is Prosper Merimée, writer of the novella on which Bizet’s Carmen was based.

We and Francisco Correa are going to be performing our CarmenCo concert in Ayr, as part of our October 2021 Scottish tour! This is the music from the show Creating Carmen, but a concert-only version involving only us three musicians without actors, (although we may still perform in costume and character...!)
CDs will be available after the concert for £15 each - the money from CD sales helps towards funding our touring, enabling us to get to more places like Ayr.
